Do you love smoothies for all things acne clearing? Around here, we follow a lot of Heal Your Face With Food challenges, and usually, they contain at least one delicious smoothie recipe.
The green smoothie recipe found below is one of my favourites; it’s sweet, will fill you up and is amazing for your skin.
Without further ado here is one of my favourite smoothie recipes that really helps to hydrate from the inside out- and is also, delightfully yummy.
Acne Clearing Smoothie Recipe:
Small bunch kale, washed and organic if possible!
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1-2 scoops of hemp protein
3 big hunks of pineapple
Add all of the ingredients in a blender with a few pieces of ice and blend thoroughly.
Why is this particular recipe good for your skin?
Avocado is brilliant for your skin because it has a ton of vitamin E and helps to provide your body with “good fats”.
Hemp protein is an amazing protein source and is also really great to fill you up, without giving you that crazy “full” feeling, if you know what I mean?
Pineapple brings a ton of vitamin C to the party and also makes this smoothie zing with deliciousness.
The generally low sugar levels combined with the fat from the avocado will also help balance your blood sugar – which is great and can really help hormonal/lip acne. Read more here on jawline acne and lip acne as well. (Both have to do with hormones).
